The team of eight Year 7 girls were selected to take part in the sportshall athletics competition against other schools from the Gedling area after being selected from a group of Year 7 students who attended training in previous weeks. The PE department said it was great to see so many pupils attend and train with such a positive attitude and determination.

After winning the Gedling competition convincingly, the team progressed to the Nottinghamshire Championships at Harvey Hadden. The same eight girls showed great competitive spirit throughout the event, they were a credit to themselves and the school.   

Carlton le Willows/Gedling finished in Bronze medal position (out of eight schools in the county) with 203 points, narrowly missing out on silver medals by one point and gold medal by four points!!  We are super proud of the girls and looking forward to a summer term of outdoor athletics.
