GCSE success
Carlton le Willows Academy students are celebrating getting their results today – the first cohort to sit formal exams after disruption to education caused by the pandemic.
Carlton le Willows staff are extremely proud of all the students who have shown such determination and resilience. Results today see 62% of students securing a strong pass (Grade 5 or above) in both English and Maths. In total 76% of students received five or more GCSEs at Grade 4 and above. Across all subjects 27% of grades were at 7 and above (A*/A equivalent).
Among those celebrating are the Academy's two top performing students Cameron Barrs and Geneva Jones who have each secured a clean sweep of grade 9s – the highest grade possible.
