Star turn for Abbie

A YEAR 8 Academy student has been cooking up some star treats thanks to the charity Make A Wish Foundation.
Thirteen-year-old Abbie Harrison had her wish come true when she met Tilly Ramsay for a one to one baking session, organised by the charity last month.
Oak student Abbie came up with the dream to meet Tilly Ramsay after watching her cookery shows on televisions during lengthy hospital stays.
While undergoing chemotherapy and a leg amputation Tilly’s cooking videos provide vital respite for Abbie. Reflecting on her time spent cooking with the young star Abbie said: “It was great to meet Tilly Ramsay. She was so nice and kind. It’s an experience that no money can buy and I really enjoyed it.”
Tilly, daughter of the celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and now a star in her own right, even bought Abbie a gift, a bracelet exactly the same as one she wears herself.
Make a Wish UK work with children and families across the UK trying to grant life changing wishes for seriously ill children.
