Carlton le Willows' top performing student Kofi Okyere secured 4 A*s, in Chemistry, Further Maths, Maths and Physics. Kofi will be going to Durham University to study Physics with the aim of working in particle physics.

Also with a clean sweep of top grades, is Grace Bryant who secured three A*s - in Law, Media and English Language and Literature. Grace will now study English Language and Literature at Nottingham University.

Special mention must also go to Esme Bell who overcame significant challenges to secure three A levels at A, A, B. Esme secured her grades in Geography, Business Studies and History despite the fact that her dad sustained life-threatening injuries in an accident just as A levels started. Esme now intends to go to university to study Business Management.

Head of Sixth Form Abbie Emsley said: "I am so proud of all the students’ achievements. The grades we have seen today are a testament to all their hard work and the support from parents and staff. We wish them all well as they take their next steps, whether that be moving on to university, apprenticeships or entering the world of work.”
