100% pass rate at A Level 2018
Congratulations to Year 13 for fantastic A Level results - 100% pass rate at Carlton le Willows for fourth year running.
The 100% pass rate at A level marks a continued upward swing in results at the Academy's Sixth Form with an increase in the number of top grades recorded overall at the Academy.
In total, more than 1 in 4 students achieved A*/A at A level, with more than 50% achieving an A*-B grade. Among the results were a number of notable individual successes with 14 students getting an average grade of A or above in all their subjects.
One of the Academy’s top performing Year 13 students was Connor Fowler whose three A* grades have secured him a place at the prestigious Cambridge University.
Sixth Form Head Boy Connor said he chose Cambridge as it is top of the leaderboard for UK universities and he is looking forward to starting a degree in Law at Christ's College.
Fellow sixth former Holly Smith got two 2* and 2 As and will now go to study Biomedical Science at York University, while Louie Dale's A* and 2 A grades will see him go to Leeds University to study Law.
George Feek, who also achieved A* and two As, is pictured with Louie and Connor, as along with Jack Grace-Buttenshaw, they all achieved A* in English.
