ICE skater Emma Litherland is going from strength to strength in her sport having qualified to compete in the British Championships last term.
The Year 9 skater entered the Intermediate Novice Ladies section of the British Figure Skating Championships in Sheffield in November – coming an impressive 8th out of 25 and placing her as one of the top 10 skaters in the UK.
Emma dedicates around 20 hours a week to her ice skating both before and after school, spending extra time at home doing flexibility and off ice jump rotation in addition to her 16 hours on ice sessions.
The 13-year-old also plays football alongside her skating, turning out for Gedling Southbank in Division 1 of the Notts Girls and Ladies League Under 14s.
